It's February 1. At casa de BEAST, this day marks the official end of my PCTI off-season. It's time to start thinking about PCTI NINE and taking action on getting prepared to extend my personal seven game winning streak and begin to get the weekend plans squared away.
First things first, our annual exercise in frustration: settling on a date.
I wrongly assumed that once we got the McKinnney Fishing Trip off the calendar this would function more smoothly, but now I know better. Below is a simple survey of the dates you can't make it to Minnesota for our weekend. Block out the dates you don't think you can make it.
Of course I hope we have the full brethren together this summer but just in case something is going on in your life that won't allow you to make it, it's worth reminding that we're all in agreement that everyone in the current group has a "lifeftime PCTI scholarship," so if you do have to miss this year, we hope you'll be back for TEN. If you do think you won't be able to make it, now is the time to at least put it on the radar for all to know.
Lastly, congratulations to Spotlight who became a dad recently. The little boy's name is Phoenix, which I assume is short for Phoenix Spotlight Paco Patrick Higdon Jr.

A couple of thoughts:
ReplyDelete1) I'm glad we don't have to navigate that goddamned McKinney Fishing Trip any more.
2) Appreciate the PCTI Lifetime Scholarship, we all do.
3) I propose that we shorten Spotlight's son's name to PSPPHJ or Spot Jr.
4) Always remember...We are coming to kick Dan's ass in 9.
Love and happiness to all,
Sabin
