For those of you who do not know Smo's dad, Mr. Orr ( I could not think of his first name for the life of me) this will probably have very little meaning to you. But the man is pretty much the epitome of old school, savvy, hard nose, no nonsense basketball. With that being said, I'd like to share some thoughts on the man I am most nervous to see on the court again as an opponent in PCTI III.
I am convinced Scott Donely trained at the very secretive "Mr. Orr's Dungeon" growing up as a young pup. Similar to the famous "Stu Hart's Dungeon", where the late great Stu Hart would teach young fellas how to wrestle with excellent execution, Mr. Orr taught how to play basketball like a savvy badass. I believe this is where Scott learned not only his savvy, very physical style of play, but also where he was taught the ways to develop his body into something only written about in Greek Methodology. Scott MUST have been Mr. Orr's prized disciple because not only did he teach him the secrets to Old Man Basketball he taught everyone else that attended the dungeon, he taught him how to perfectly pull off his most deadly and unstoppable offensive attack...The Pump Fake Up and Under. I have been victimized repeatedly by this undefendable (<---Word?) move by Mr. Orr himself over the years ( I would even go as far as ass raped by it at Danny's wedding) and this is what led me to believe Donely was trained by Mr. Orr. himself. Scott embarrassed me with this move quite frequently during our hoop years at Knoxville and the similarities are uncanny. Now, I do not think anyone will EVER master/use the art of the Pump Fake Up and Under quite as well as the man himself, but if anyone can do it, Danger Donely can...May God help my team if he ever does.
This is why he is the opponent I fear most coming into PCTI III.
