Early Storylines by Player for PCTI7

Business has picked up in the PCTI world lately... With the rosters set, captains in place, planning underway, and the draft date established (will be released soon), things are in motion.  As such, it's time to take a quick look at a key storyline surrounding each player before the draft takes place.

Newcomers:

  • TP: Analysis from longtime friend and teammate Ben Wilson played up many strengths but left two key component out--Is he a good basketball player and how will his re-constructed knee handle the pounding of a potential 7 game series?
  • Jeff Godon: Game continues to get better, attitude continues to get worse.  Will win his teammates over with his effort, but will PCTI be able to win over the grumpiest 25 year old of all time?
  • Both: Who will be able to match up real names and nicknames first?
Welcome Back:
  • Stickman: One of PCTI's most popular figures is back, will he be leaving PCTI7 with a now 5 series losing streak?
  • Sabin: The heartbeat of PCTI comes back after two years away with a bigger pop than Shane McMahon recently received after his six year absence from Raw.  There is no bigger storyline in PCTI than Sabin's 0-4 record.
The Nucleus:
  • Spotlight: Will the move to NYC, world travel and recent marriage slow down Spot's 3 year improvement?
  • Nature Boy: Career growth has taken Beas off the court, out of the mountains, and into the office.  Stress levels of work and planning took his focus off basketball last year, will he be able to re-establish himself as a top 4 player in PCTI?
  • Wes: Could an improved performance put a stop to the Wes Farewell Tour?
  • Hops: If he anchors a defense the way he did last year and shoots 40%, could he be an MVP candidate?
  • Scotty: History has shown the stresses of planning the trip do not yield positively to on-court performance.  Can he put an end to that trend and can he handle the increased level of schedule accountability with the Stickman back in action?
  • The Actor: You're soon to be PCTI7 MVP.  You heard it here first.
  • Ben: Two years of dominant performances, will a third lead to a debate on who PCTI's top player is?
  • Abe: A loss by Abe and a no show by Smo would put Smo in sole possession of PCTI's top winning %.  If Abe doesn't dominate, can his team win?
  • BC: What will be more impactful--His impact this offseason or on the court?
  • DTBrat: Will his strangehold on unimportant stats and loud voice really convince a captain to overpay for a 4th straight year?
  • Deuce: Will he be PCTI's unopposed most popular for a 7th straight year?
My motto for this year...

This one is for DEAN.
