As promised, here is my blog for the day. (Did not think we would already have 2 great posts. Whoops)
I wanted to take a couple minutes to jot down what I think is the Top 10 moments of how PCTI has become as great as it has in its history. I will give an explanation for why I think it is great, but I’m going to break it into 2 parts. Part I let me go through the NOT top 5 things for PCTI and the honorable mention (in no particular order) of top moments contributing to PCTI’s greatness. Part II will be the actual Top 10. Here we go:
Not Top 5:
5. People not participating in offseason PCTI related things – We have started weeding out these people, so take note if you don’t do anything.
4. Donley jetting early – He had no idea what he was committing to, but leaving is inexcusable on the last day.
3. Chase – No explanation.
2. Hite being on his own schedule – No social hanging out. Show up for games whenever.
1. Cramp Game – Funny looking back now but good Lord that was awful at the time.
Honorable Mention:
Jerseys – makes it official. Nice get by Joe with the UA.
Refs – Honestly this was a necessity.
Lexington – I can’t describe everything I liked about this city. More on this later.
Expanding to new cities – Getting back to my hometown and looking forward to new cities.
All Tourney – Any awards add to the weekend.
Josh “hungover” performance – this is still not talked about enough. The only way this would have been better if he smoked a bowl during timeouts.
Being mistaken for the Stanford basketball team – I know we are tall to small old women, but this was too funny.
Rules – Still adjusting and making it better, but we have something on paper.
Danny calling me – Not bragging here, but the diversity of the group and not knowing everyone is one of the best things that happened.
Viewing party – GUYS WINE NIGHT!!
