Key Questions: #TBT (To Be Tetermined)

GOOD MORNING.  It's a beautiful day today in Dallas with the sun shining bright.  Instead of kicking this day off with a #glute/#core workout, I thought it would make more sense to pop into work and get started on some key offseason questions for a team who has their initials in tact, and are currently awaiting someone to step in and fill out the remaining part of the name.

5. Will Michael Beasley establish himself as a PCTI elite?

Talk about a guy who's reputation could not be stronger, yet still has so much to prove.  Although coming off an extremely heralded performance in PCTI3 mostly because no one wanted to give Sabin any credit, leaving Beas to be the only other person that anyone could show love to on TLFK, Beas still had a lot to prove.  After an explosive performance at the PCTI4 draft in which he used the same two traits that earned The Actor an MVP award (points and o-boards), he earned himself a 2nd round draft pick.  With the explosive Ben Wilson still on the board, Beas is going to need to take the leap for #TBT to bring home the gold.

4. How motivated is Josh Stephen to be the only undefeated PCTI member?

Without question, PCTI4 has the biggest storyline to come around since it's inception.. The battle of the undefeateds was already big before Abe decided to spit venom at The Actor, declaring that he would not report to camp if drafted by his one time arch nemesis.  Both Abe and Actor enjoy keeping their offseason programs tight lipped, but you can guarantee the #1 thing on both of their minds is that undefeated streak.

3. Will Michael Orr re-establish ownership of his rim?

Protecting anything successfully when you are outmanned by three people every time down the court is just not possible.  TLFK overvalued Smo's to protect what is rightfully his, allowing Breaking Bad to waltz through the paint untouched, assuming his length and passion will #overcomeallodds.  With his new defensive mind coach, don't expect Smo to get handed the defensive captain title the way he did last year.  That being said, expect Smo to come out looking to gain back what is rightfully his--HIS RIM.

2. What does an on court leadership duo of Hops and Cash look like?

No one knows.  You can't help but to wonder if the locker room is big enough to handle both ego's in one place, and if it could potentially lead to a power struggle.  The leadership role will be handled by captain Skillz, which immediately diminshes both Hops and Cash's strengths ten fold.  You can't measure success of two guys who's main focus is to talk on defense, so putting these two on the court together has a big chance of being BOOM OR BUST.

1. Josh Pitto-Defensive captain?

There is no question that the three year running joke was how little Pitto played defense, and how annoying it was that he thought it was funny that he didn't try.  His newfound attentiveness on the defensive side of the ball added an entirely new facet to his game, and has since lit a fire in his ass.  The fact that he is the only player in PCTI with lateral quickness has made him a potential shut down perimeter defender, but like always it will come down to an interest level for one of PCTI's most controversial players.  Boxing out and post defense still leave a lot to be desired, but a first move cut off and shoot the lanes defensive captain would be intrical in this team's success.

Happy Friday to my Teammates.

Note to the PCTI Grammar Police (Ben and Spot Stick)-This post was not edited so save the annoying comments for later.
