PCTI/Famous TV (Movie) Athlete Comparisons Part 3

Spotlight-Alan, Remember the Titans

No surprise that my least favorite athlete in Hollywood sports history is compared to my least favorite person in PCTI.  Alan (which is all I will ever call him) has gone on to a very successful career in Hollywood, some claiming him as the biggest hearthrob out there.  I will give SpotStick this, he is really good looking, so that's the first comparison they have.  Spot also has a well documented past in the music industry.  Alan, in a confusing way, spent most of his time in the movie doing 2 things-listening and talking about music while dancing, and getting beat to a pulp by WR's.  The apparent claim by his father that Alan was all-conference the year before is almost as puzzling/shocking as Spot receiving any votes for all tournament team.  On top of everything, Alan in the above video gives up his spot in the game to Petey, which is something Spot did very frequently in game 2, where he totaled about 12 minutes of game time.

Wes Murray-Brucie, The Longest Yard

Fortunately for Wes, he gets compared to the most amazingly cool, athletic, stud in the history of Hollywood sports.  I'm not going to waste time with a write up because Wes doesn't deserve it, but couldn't you see Joe putting in Wes to miss a free throw in hopes their team gets a rebound/put back to win a game?  Those kind of heroics are something that only Brucie could do.

Skillz-Coach Yost, Remember the Titans.

Anytime a discussion comes up addressing who the best defensive coach of all time was, Coach Yoast should be the first name brought up.  An up and coming defensive coach himself, Skillz should utilize the model of player coach/master strategist that Yoast laid out in Remember the Titans.  Both are typically quiet yet stoic individuals, but have a burning passion for their defense that when it comes out, it comes out in a big way.
