Mockdraft beas.0 is based off the following scenario:
Joe will fulfill Abe’s request and defer the first pick in
order to get picks 2 & 3. This will also means Joe could be stuck
with Sabin with the last pick. I am under the impression that taking 2nd
and 3rd pick are worth the risk.

Joe
|
1. ABE- Not
really much to say about this one. QP
|
2. Donley - This one
makes sense for a lot of reasons. The main one being he proved to be a
versatile defender in III. If Joe is going to adhere to Abe’s request,
he is going to need a big versatile guy like cockboy to check him.
|
4. Pitto- Now
everyone just hang on a minute before dismissing the rest of my draft for
credibility. Pitto proved to everyone that he can be a team guy in
III. He is a solid ball handler, is quick, and can sink a set shot from
anywhere across half court. He is also proven to be a solid defender
when he dedicates himself. The basketball credentials are there.
Now add-on that he is best friends with Skills, living with Skills, and
utterly lost without him.
|
3.
BC- Joe wants to get big early. There is no other way
to build your front line then with BIG BAMBY. Look for these two
to instill a series of set plays that involve 3 to 4 double screens, strait
out of the playbook of Doug Bontrager. Also, these two are
reportedly unbeaten when playing together.
|
5. Ben- No
secret this guy had an abhorrent showing in III. Simply because
of The Dead Sea Scrolls. Now that the author is on his
team, look for Ben to return to his old form. Note to Skilly, make the
scrolls disappear.
|
6. Beas- Having gone
big with his first two picks Joe will take yours truly with the sixth overall
pick. Joe knowledge of my basketball pedigree weighs heavily into this
pick. This pick is mainly attractive due to Joe’s next selection.

|
8. McKinney-
It has been made known that Skills loves BMC’s game. I am not sure what
to make of all the jargon that BMC will have a break out year. I will
say this, if BMC will allow Skills to incorporate him into his system how he
wishes, you could see a solid performance.
|
7. Spotlight- Does anyone see a trend
here? With Joe’s 3rd, 4th, and 5th picks he has gone with hard nose,
Middle Tennessee Divison II basketball products. Spotlight brings
everything to the basketball court that Joe could want. He will move on
offense, hit the open shot, handle the ball well, go to the offensive boards,
and lock down his man on defense. QP
|
9. Bruise-
This could be a steal for Coach Skills with the 9th pick overall. You
have to think with Bruise and Skills on the boards, team Skills will see multiple
second and third chance opportunities. This is assuming the Bruise
rededicates himself to the paint. Look for team sKiller to build there
team around offensive rebounding in order to create more shot opportunities
for Honest Abe.
|
10. Danny- Much
of PCTI offense is bring the ball across half court, make a pass, shot up and
now lets go to the other end and see the same. Joe is bucking the trend
with this draft. By drafting the Fruitsicle, you will have yet another
guy on team Mighty Jo looking to make the extra pass instead of jacking up a
jumper. This could lead to an open three look for Sloppy Jo, or a back
door lay up for Spot.
|
12. Smo- Who’s
rim? Well I am not really sure the answer to that question. After
last year you can’t answer the question with Smo’s rim. However, with
Smo you do get an enforcer. It is important to have a guy that isn’t
afraid to get physical. Smo led PCTI III with 17 personal fouls.
He was the only guy other then Big Bamby (13) to be in double digits.
Look for him to come to PCTI IV with a chip on his shoulder for losing the
vote to bring PCTI to Chatty.
|
11.
AHop- Originally I had Hops going higher, but he has dropped a few
spots due to his self-evaluation in the Quad Pod Cast. I am
confident after the draft Hops will find a gym. Hops has overtaken
the Fruit Smoothie and become PCTI’s top glue guy. Add-on that he
will have two of his best friends on the team. This pick is gold! QP
|
13. Sabin-
VALUE. Skills is too smart to let Sabin escape to the other team.
This is hands down one of the top players in PCTI. With the Fruit Roll
Up taking his previous position of PCTI villain, look for Sabin to flourish,
not only on the court, but at the bar as well.
|
14. Wes- No
surprise here. This guy made it abundantly clear that he has NO time
outside of work for ANYTHING. He is clearly in PCTI for the beer
drinking, and fast-food eating. Unfortunately neither of those factor
into this draft. Sorry Fil-A.

Can we make this official that the two teams just became team sKiller and team Mighty Jo?
ReplyDeleteJosh Pitto after three straight years going dead last catapulting all the way to #4 overall?

HIGHLIGHTS:
ReplyDelete1) Doug Bontrager #shoutout
2) Beas again shows why he's the best nicknamer in business: cockboy and fruitsicle
3) Giving us the image of Sabin at a bar... downright freaky
No matter what BC says, Beas' off season has been nothing short of tremendous.
