The countdown has begun:
5. Is Scott Donley worth a top three pick?
Editor's Response-Yes. His ability to defend a variety of positions, play hard, and be active on the glass makes him a low risk pick. In a league where performance usually hinges on shooting, Donley has earned his spot to go early by doing the little things.
4. Is the Ben Wilson slide going to happen?
Editor's Response-No. Whether or not he plays well on draft day will prove to be irrelevant. Regardless of what you get by the end of the weekend, the idea of grabbing a guy that can get you 20 points on any given night will prove to be too much to resist.
3. Will Spotlight's backcuts catapult him into the third round?
Editor's Response-No. He will always be a net positive player, but his backcuts have been exposed, turning him into a one dimensional three point shooter. A lot has been made of his rebounding, but since I'm the only one that can speak to it, no one will factor that into their draft decision.
2. Will Jeff Sabin go last overall?
Editor's Response-Yes. He has gotten over the hump on the court, but his off the court reputation will leave him at the bottom until he is able to shake the excess baggage off. Is it superior value that late? Potentially. Time will tell.
1. Will Josh Stephen be the #1 overall pick?
Editor's Response-Yes. Expect the Republican to not get caught up in Abe's warfare and force him into being a loyal teammate. We saw what happened last year when a captain allowed the pool to dictate who he selected, so don't expect the Republican to fall into the same trap Sabin did.
The sixth question is will DK get to the free throw line in PCTI IV? Vegas has odds at pick 'em.
