PCTI's Least Potent Moves

Part II of this very important series (1 being the least effective move).

5. Scott Donley Up And Under: At one point a go-to move that earned him respect from every defender that fouled him (which was almost everyone that guarded him), Donley has finally met his match by playing with people more than once.  The move that at one point caused defenders to jump into him, now just leads to Scotty being stuck without a dribble and engulfed by a defender.

4. Michael Orr Turn To the Right Fade: No one on this planet will show love to Smo's once dominant now nonexistant shield off the defender with his left hand, quick righty hook more than I will. In my many years of playing with Smo, I'm not sure I have ever seen him hit a fade turning the opposite way.  I believe he does it to keep the defense honest, and appears to feel completely uncomfortable turning that direction.  Not sure if he has a Zoolander thing going or not, but it's something worth looking into.

3. Wes Murray Rhythm  Pump Fake: This move was extremely effective in PCTI1, despite Murray fancying a bum wheel.  Two years later, the pump fake, which I actually love, no longer has an end game.  It's just excessive faking.  Not attacking as effectively as he once did, combined with the fact that he doesn't take the shot anymore, has made this once great move virtually irrelevant, a lot like Wes as a person.

2. Danny Krow Layup: No one thinks of getting a layup off as an accomplishment quite like Fruit.  FMD has a variety of ways to get shots off near the goal, yet somehow shoots somewhere around 20% from within 5 ft.  Bad touch and lack of focus, combined with no offensive skills and no heigth make this a win for the defense.

1. Brent Carney Right Handed Hook: It's not necessarily that he can't hit the shot, but the rationale behind taking it.  The problem with The Brat is that as usual, he has created a storyline by himself that everyone has said he can't go right because he is a lefty, leading to bitterness and an obsession with proving the doubters (whoever he has made up in his head at the time) that he can in fact go both ways.  He appears to go out of his way to do this, which just leads to overcomplicating shots.  The best news is that I fully expect this post to force TB (The Brat or Tall Boy, either one works) into three uneccessary right handed push shots in PCTI4.

  1. The fruit stand waging war on the post players of PCTI.

You know what my belongs on this list: the "jack up a long jump shot and then stand around watching everyone else rebound" move. The difficult part would be which of you pretty boy guards (and there's about 10 of you) deserve to get the attribution.

  2. You could have put any attempt at an offensive move by me on here.

  3. Wes' rhythm pumpfake is devastating because he can transition right into overhead passing position. Lethal combination move.

  4. Spotlight's rebounding should be on here.

  5. Rebounding's not a move dummy. What SHOULD be on here is FMD's "shot fake, draw foul." The only thing uglier than that one in PCTI3 was TLFKs performance in EVERY GAME. #shotsfired

  6. It was only a matter of time before this legit rivalry started going viral.

    TEAM BRUISE.
